Social Workers – pending approval

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Amedco is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive 12.5 Live Activity / 36.75 Enduring Material GENERAL continuing education credits. MAX CE CREDIT AVAILABLE = 36.75
 
The following state boards accept courses offering ASWB ACE credit for Social Workers: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE,  NH, NM, NV, OH, OK*, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI, WV*, WY
* WV accepts ASWB ACE unless activity is live in West Virginia, an application is required.

The following state boards accept courses offering ASWB ACE credit for Counselors: AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, ME, MO, ND, NE, NM, NH, NV, OK*, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY
AL/Counselors: Activities not providing NBCC approval may be approved by the Board for individual licensees upon receipt of acceptable documentation prior to the activity.  Please send course details to your licensing board for approval BEFORE the event.  No approvals afterward by the board.
MI: No CE requirement

The following state boards accept courses offering ASWB ACE credit for MFTs: AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, IA, ID, IN, KS, MD, ME, MO, NC, NE, NH, NM, NV, OK*, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WY
MA / MFTs: Participants can self-submit courses not approved by the MAMFT board for review.
MI: No CE requirement
* OK accepts ASWB ACE for live, in-person activities. For all ethics and/or online courses, an application is required.

New York Board for Social Workers (NY SW)
Amedco SW CPE is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #0115. 12.5 Live Activity / 36.75 Enduring Material hours.
 
New York Board for Mental Health Counselors (NY MHC)
Amedco is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed mental health counselors. #MHC-0061. 12.5 Live Activity / 36.75 Enduring Material hours.
 
New York Board for Marriage & Family Therapists (NY MFT)
Amedco is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Mental Health Practitioners as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed marriage and family therapists. #MFT-0032. 12.5 Live Activity / 36.75 Enduring Material hours.
 
FL Board of Behavioral Sciences (FL BBS)

GA MFT
This course has been approved for up to 36.75 Core hours by GAMFT #033-2022.
 
LA MFT
This program has been approved for 36.75 hours by the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
 
LA LPC
This program has been approved for up to 36.75 clock hours by the Louisiana Counseling Association as authorized by the Louisiana Professional Counselor Licensing Board of Examiners.

American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)* Live credit only

The AAFP has reviewed SAHM 2022 Virtual Annual Meeting- Caring for Adolescents in a Post-Pandemic World and deemed it acceptable for up to 17.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credits. Term of Approval is from 03/09/2022 to 03/11/2022. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

Objectives – After attending this program you should be able to:

1. Promote psychological well-being by engaging in practices that acknowledge and integrate the protective power of relationships.
2. Implement effective strategies that promote psychological well-being among youth in the context of conflict, disaster, and flight.
3. Promote psychological well-being in the context of immigrant youth experiences.
