SAHM issues a “Call for Volunteers” each April to populate its committee rosters for the year. Committee appointments are made by the President in consultation with the President-Elect and Committee Chairs. Final decisions will consider the applicant’s preference while also considering relevant bylaws requirements, space available, the needs of the committee and ensuring each committee roster includes a diverse representation of the SAHM membership.

2025 Call for Volunteers: SAHM Committee Members

SAHM is conducting a Call for Volunteers for Committee Members to help us complete the rosters for several committees for 2025-26. Talented volunteers are the lifeblood of every membership organization. The Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) invites you to share your passion by serving on one of SAHM’s many committees.

Eligibility Requirements

All committee members must be members in good standing in the Society. If you have not yet renewed your membership, please do so now.

Terms of Service

The term of service for committee members is three years with the option for re-appointment to an additional three-year term. (Article X, SAHM By-Laws)

Selection Process

Committee appointments are made by the President in consultation with the President-Elect and Committee Chairs. Final decisions will consider the applicant’s preference while also considering relevant bylaws requirements, space available, the needs of the committee and ensuring each committee roster includes a diverse representation of the SAHM membership. Keeping with the multidisciplinary and global perspective of SAHM, we encourage applications from members worldwide and from all disciplines and experience levels.

How to Apply

To express interest and apply for a committee roster position, please complete the following steps:

- Review the below list of SAHM committees with availability.
- Identify three committees of greatest interest to you.
- Rank the committees preferential in order.
- Complete the committee volunteer application by April 29, 2025.

Important Dates

- Deadline to Apply – Tuesday, April 29, 2025
- Notification of Assignments – Mid-May 2025
- End of First Term of Committee Service – March 2028
