Webinars explore the science behind identity-based positive youth development
This webinar series explores research from social work and psychology reframing “positive youth development” as “identity-based positive youth development.” Aqui Para Tí created the webinar series to support health care providers, educators, counselors, and other caregivers to learn about emerging research and strategies.
In the series, Aqui Para Tí considers the importance of daily interactions and care with teens that see, honor, and reflect who youth are. Another key concept is “radical healing,” which serves as an anchor for wellbeing and includes the healer. Radical healing, according to the series, is important in the context of workforce burnout and exhaustion from the COVID-19 response, as well as a global and national environment that often politicizes issues of health and bodily autonomy.
This series is made possible in part by a grant from the Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative (EHDI) of the Minnesota Department of Health’s Division of Health Equity Strategy and Innovation and is supported by the Minnesota Partnership for Adolescent Health.
