This practice guideline is based on available evidence and clinical consensus and offers treatment recommendations to help psychiatrists develop plans for the care of adult patients with bipolar disorder. In 2005, a supplement was published to include a number of controlled treatment studies on aspects of bipolar disorder that were industry supported. Additionally, a quick reference guide is also available.
