Session Description: Adolescent Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) exists along a continuum between normal pubertal physiology and a complex condition with cardiometabolic, reproductive, mental health, and dermatologic manifestations. This webinar will explore recent updates in the diagnosis of adolescent PMOS and highlight life-course approaches to management. Speakers will discuss practical strategies that can be adapted across diverse global settings and varying levels of clinical resources.
Speaker: Dr. Gauri Karandikar
Dr. Gauri Karandikar is a Senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist from India, with over two decades of clinical and leadership excellence in the continuum of women’s healthcare, spanning Adolescent Health, Reproductive and Maternity Care, and Menopause. She chairs the Special Interest Group on Adolescent PMOS at the PCOS Society of India and serves as Secretary of the International Regional Chapter of SAHM.
This session will be moderated by Dr. Preeti Galagali, with opening remarks from Dr. Asha Pemberton, Chairperson of the SAHM International Regional Chapter.
