Southeast Regional Chapter
The Southeast Regional Chapter includes members from six states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. The Chapter meets annually at the national SAHM meeting. The executive board of the Chapter plans approximately two virtual educational events each year for providers and trainees from various disciplines focusing on the care of adolescents and young adults.
We hope that you will consider joining our chapter! Though it is highly encouraged, membership in National SAHM is not required to be a member of the Chapter. Chapter dues are only $20 per year.
Our region currently has three Adolescent Medicine fellowship programs: Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In addition, UAB has a Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) program which focuses on training emerging leaders in adolescent health from the core disciplines of medicine, psychology, nursing, nutrition, and social work..
