The Value of SAHM Membership; Member Referral Program
SAHM membership is more than discounts on the annual meeting and continuing education. Membership provides networking opportunities throughout the year, to help you grow in your profession.
Participating in committees and special interest groups (SIGs) is one of the best ways to make the most of your SAHM membership. As Dr. Debbie Katzman, MD, FSAHM, co-chair of the Multidisciplinary Membership Committee noted on her more than 30-year membership, “What really shaped my professional career were the friends and colleagues I have made at SAHM over the years. Some of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had both professionally and personally throughout my career, have come from my friends and colleagues at SAHM. Those connections are so important.”
By providing time and expertise to one of SAHM’s many committees or subcommittees our active members further the field and the cause of adolescent health and well-being. Committee work allows you to interact regularly with colleagues around the globe. The SAHM president appoints volunteers to committees based on needs of each committee, space available and applicant interest. Talented volunteers are essential to every membership organization. Ultimately, it is the professional leadership and advocacy of our members that advances our mission to promote the optimal health and well-being of all adolescents and young adults. We encourage our members to learn about the committees, and watch for the call for committee volunteers later in the year.
Member Referral Program
It’s always a good time to refer a colleague to join the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. As your referrals add up, you can receive recognition and rewards. Learn more about the referral program.
SAHM Member Benefits
