The Hilary E.C. Millar Award for Innovative Approaches to Adolescent Health recognizes original and innovative programs that predominantly focus on adolescent health. This award is given to any individual, organization, or agency involved in adolescent health for an innovative, cost-effective, and successful program that enlarges the scope of adolescent health.
The nomination must be completed on the SAHM nomination form and must address each of the nomination criteria listed below for selection, or the nomination will be considered ineligible.
- Deadline for receipt of application: October 30, 2024
- Notification of award: Before End of 2024
- Award may be presented to any national or international individual, organization, or agency involved in adolescent health care, defined in its broadest sense.
- Application form may be completed by a sponsor, who need not be a Society member, or directly by the nominee.
- Award recipients will be ineligible for subsequent awards FOR THE SAME PROGRAM.
- Membership in the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine is not a requirement of eligibility for this award.

The recipient of The Hilary E.C. Millar Award for Innovative Approaches to Adolescent Health Care will be recognized at the SAHM Annual Meeting Awards Ceremony and will be presented with a commemorative plaque.
The award is financially administered through the Society’s business office. The Award includes complimentary registration for the day on which the award is presented at the Annual Meeting, and travel reimbursement up to $1,000 (receipts required). Opportunity is provided for a brief presentation of the award recipient’s views and experiences relating to adolescent health care.
